Sex

October 26, 2019
8pm @ The ANNEX

Beyond a seductive title, Erato’s season opener delivers a shame-free one-night stand. The concert will explore themes of sex, sexuality, and gender identity in a supportive and non-judgemental environment hosted by sexual health facilitator, Tanille Geib.

There’ll be no shortage of humour as we present The Sex Lives of Vegetables by Vancouver’s own Leslie Uyeda and Lorna Crozier. One particularly naughty 16th-century song by Thomas Morley will make use of props from our community partner, Vancouver’s own Womyns’ Ware.

Erato won’t be shying away from the more serious side of things, with pieces exploring gender identity and sexuality, featuring cabaret songs by Rodney Sharman and a piece by Michael Park and Vancouver poet Sajia Sultana.
